W2 Renovation
The envelope of an existing autobody shop forms a bounding box for four flexible-use spaces connected by a newly introduced outdoor space. The project promotes equitable relationships – in terms of light quality, ventilation, circulation, and organization. A fragmented-form concrete construction allows light and air to penetrate deep within the structure, a beneficial approach given the site’s orientation: north-facing and completely bounded to the west.
